Family farming dates back to 1898 with Matt’s great, great grandfather buying the land to raise hogs and cattle. From there, it continued through the generations. Since then, the Diehl family has raised livestock and row crop farmed preserving through Depression and the Farm Crisis of the 1980s. We have three generations still actively involved in the family farm. They farm 700 acres of corn and beans with much of the corn chopped to feed their own livestock. They also have a custom silage harvesting business in partnership his dad, Randy Diehl.
