Quincy, IL (July 2023) —The Maschhoffs, is escited to announce the successful collection of a matching donation in the amount of $200,000 in collaboration with the community and production partners for the John Wood Community College (JWCC) Ag Center. The initiative, aimed at supporting agricultural education and development in the local community, has been a resounding success, showcasing the power of partnerships and community engagement.
The JWCC Ag Center serves as a vital hub for agricultural education, training, and research, equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving agricultural industry. Recognizing the importance of fostering educational opportunities, The Maschhoffs initiated a matching donation program to further enhance the capabilities of the Ag Center.
Laila Beck, Freshman studying Animal Science comments that the “hands on experience is a huge advantage.” “The community benefits too in that the arena, conference room and kitchen are available to use for events, reflects Marcus Perry, student at JWCC.”
The official dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 9, 2022 with classes starting in the fall semester. Local community members, businesses, and production partners, all eager to contribute to the growth and development of agricultural education gathered for the ceremony. The Maschhoffs is deeply grateful for the overwhelming support received from the community, which demonstrated their shared commitment to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders.
